Aggiungo quanto riscontrato in UK: Info from BMW technical via my dealer has suggested that it is linked to the micro switch. It only affects bikes with CC. When the clutch is pulled in and activates the micro switch the ECU is failing to get the correct signal and the engine then stalls. The solution lies in a new switch pack which as yet is not available. Clutch free play is linked in some way but doesn't always fix the problem. Mine will now stall in almost any gear when down shifting and it's random, so something is "wearing" . I have at least got a PUMA case number logged against the fault. How many more people have also officially reported the fault and got a PUMA number? The more of us that do, the higher the priority BMW will put on fixing it.
