The speed of the voice prompts can be modified at the language settings of the Android operating system. To do so, please do the following: Open the cell phone settings > General management > Text-to-Speech. There you can adjust the speech rate as well as the pitch. It should be noted that this is a specific option of the "Speech Service by Google". For example, if your cell phone is configured with the another text-to-speech engine by default, you would first need to change the preferred engine in the "Google Text-to-Speech" settings and then you can set the option in their settings.
