The communications about BMW's new policy of servicing the cardans on the liquid cooled bikes every 20,000 kms and replacing them FREE at 60,000 kms (R1200/1250 only) or 80,000 kms at your expense (R1300) is only in German so far but has been translated into many languages on the various forums. Several online sources have confirmed this with BMW Motorrad in Germany and the Netherlands.
