Giornata travagliata oggi tra le auto per Brian Baragwnath e Taye Perry. Dopo il brillante esordio nel prologo di ieri, una serie di problemi, perfino uno sciame di locuste che ha ostruito il radiatore. Ecco il racconto della piccola Taye.

Dakar 2021, Stage 1 - Well that was rough... pulling away second car was no easy feat, especially for a day that was riddled with difficult navigation and car (& bike) breaking rock sections. First we had a bit of an overheating problem, thanks to us flying through a locust swarm, clogging the radiators. Then the rocky sections began, we had one flat to deal with. From there a couple navigational errors cost us even more time. But other than some of the CR6’s body being chewed on by the local “WADI’s” solid bushes, Brian managed to make up some time when the track opened up a bit, and we and the car are still in one piece and so ready to take on Stage 2!! Good to have struggled a bit out front to warm up the confidence and get into a good headspace again... now I need food and an actual few hours of sleep, haha. We’ll see you on the start line of Stage 2!
