Dalla pagina di Taye Perry, la ragazza sudafricana al debutto nella Dakar di cui era stato presentato il video ritratto e che mi aveva colpito per la gioia quasi commovente che lasciava trasparire per aver coronato il sogno di partecipare. Dakar 2020 - Stage 7.
It was a sad day for the racing community, as we lost Paulo Gonįalves, a legend who won’t be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
I race because it’s what I love to do... we all know the risks involved. Motorsport is dangerous. And we will race on...
So how did my Special go? Well I woke up hours before I had to, itching to get back on my bike. I was so over resting.
The stage was right up my alley, fast, rocky, dune belts, sandy stretches, tons of fun, right until just about halfway when I respectively stopped at the busy crash scene, I didn’t know how to click back into gear from there... it didn’t feel right. But all that could’ve been done, was done by the best. And the show had to go on...
With autopilot switched back on, the next half flew by.
Results for the stage - P50. General standings - down to P56.
Tomorrow we head into stage 9. And I’m feeling good. Steady pace. Full focus. Let’s do this.
